From Jan. 17 to April 27, 2025, the Arlington Museum of Art welcomes fans of theater, film and fashion to experience the spellbinding power of visual storytelling with its free, limited-engagement exhibit, “Wicked Threads: The Artistry of Costume in Oz.” Visitors of all ages will enjoy a rare glimpse into the craftsmanship behind some of Oz’s most iconic looks, including Glinda’s dazzling “bubble” dress and Elphaba’s unforgettable “Defying Gravity” ensemble. Designed by Academy Award-nominee Paul Tazewell and provided by NBCUniversal Archives & Collections, these costumes will transport you to the Land of Oz and have you singing along to Stephen Schwartz’s Grammy- and Oscar-winning original songs.
