The countdown to the holiday season has officially begun, and the event calendar is starting to fill up. With events this week ranging from the triumphant return of ICE at the Gaylord Texan to the (maybe) triumphant return of Mike Tyson as he battles YouTube sensation Jake Paul, you're guaranteed to find something to keep your family entertained.
NOVEMBER 15 - JANUARY 5 | GAYLORD TEXAN
GAYLORD TEXAN | Everybody’s favorite reindeer has arrived in Texas! This timeless and frigid installment spans over 17,000 square feet with 10 immersive scenes, bringing the story of the 1939 best-seller to life with colossal ice sculptures, frozen slides, dazzling tunnels and more. Embark on a trip through the Island of Misfit Toys, help Rudolph save the day by taking Santa’s sleigh to new heights and strike your tallest pose next to Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster.
LEON BRIDGES: THE LEON TOUR WITH CHARLIE CROCKETT & HERMANOS GUTIÉRREZ
NOVEMBER 15 | DICKIES ARENA
Since releasing his debut studio album in 2015, Leon Bridges has earned six Grammy nominations and even won Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Bet Ain’t Worth The Hand.” Now reliving the album that put him on the map, this multifaceted singer, songwriter and record producer is throwing it back with a heartfelt and riveting concert experience alongside up-and-coming blues and country artist Charley Crockett and Hermanos Gutiérrez. With an evening filled with unforgettable tunes and smooth riffs, you won’t want to miss the best of both worlds when Leon Bridges and Charley Crockett come together.
NOVEMBER 15-17 | NTPA SOUTHLAKE MAIN STAGE
Take a deep dive in the wild blue as the North Texas Performing Arts Center follows Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, as she braves the land in pursuit of true love with the decidedly non-aquatic Prince Eric. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner, Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater and a compelling book by Doug Wright, you're sure to be enchanted by songs including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl" and "Part of Your World."
THROUGH JANUARY 19 | TEXAS TRUST CU THEATER AT GRAND PRARIE
Set at the festival ground of Texas Trust CU Theater and adjacent to Lone Star Park, the all-ages event is a nighttime walk-through experience following the magical adventures of a 7-year-old boy named Koda through the magical rainforest of Caballococha, Peru. The adventure features 19 immersive scenes, each created with larger-than-life lantern sculptures handcrafted by skilled artisans using metal, steel, fabric, and LED lights. Alongside the lantern installations, there will be nightly stage performances featuring acrobats and folk performers as well as vendors selling delicious treats and handicraft souvenirs.
FIGHT NIGHT LIVE: JAKE PAUL VS. MIKE TYSON
NOVEMBER 15 | AT&T STADIUM
The latest live-streaming event from Netflix is the moment we’ve all been waiting for, and it’s happening right here in DFW. Witness the famed faceoff between the notorious social media influencer turned professional fighter and one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time. Some may say Iron Mike’s 20-year professional fighting career and 50-time championship record seals the deal, but Paul isn’t flinching in the face of his greatest challenge yet.
