Two new baby giraffes took their first steps in the Fort Worth Zoo's African Savanna earlier this morning, according to a press release.
Born on July 1 and July 11 respectively, the two calves — one male, one female — have now brought the Fort Worth Zoo's total baby giraffes to three this summer. The first one, Lucchese, was born on May 7.
While the two newest calves don't have names yet, they are now part of the 26 giraffe births the zoo has facilitated since 2000, according to a press release.
