Post Malone is coming (back) to town, and he's making sure his alma mater will get a chance to be involved in his show.
The Grapevine High School Mustang Band has officially accepted an invite to play at the "hype event" before Post Malone’s concert May 9 at AT&T Stadium. The band will play custom versions of Post's songs in the AT&T parking lot, according to band officials.
"When we shared the news with our students and announced that our solo and chamber music recitals would be rescheduled to make this possible, the reaction was electric," said James Rees, Grapevine High School band director. "The excitement of getting to perform at a Post Malone concert is something our students will never forget."
Post Malone graduated from Grapevine High School and is a proud alumnus. Prior to his concert, members of the Mustang Band will also appear on Fox 4's "Good Day." Rees said the appearance is scheduled for Monday.
