It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Southlake. Since 1999, Home for the Holidays has been spreading cheer throughout Town Square, bringing families together for an evening of sparkle, music and timeless traditions. With the 2025 celebration happening on Nov. 22, here are five things to know before you head out for this year’s festive kickoff.
1. Spreading Cheer Since 1999
Home for the Holidays has been a beloved Southlake tradition for more than two decades, transforming Town Square into a wonderland of lights, music and merriment. This year continues the legacy of pure holiday joy.
2. Jingles, Jingles All the Way
Music is at the heart of the celebration. Throughout the evening, you’ll hear performances from the Southlake Community Band, school choirs, and the always-charming Uptown Carolers, whose repertoire of more than 70 holiday classics keeps the spirit bright. Whether you love timeless carols or modern favorites, there’s no shortage of festive soundtracks.
3. New This Year: Holiday of Lights at McPherson Park
While there’s no ice rink this season, a brand-new experience is debuting just behind the Hilton. Holiday of Lights at McPherson Park transforms the green space into a glowing winter escape filled with twinkling installations, charming vignettes and larger-than-life photo ops. If you haven’t taken your Christmas card photo yet, this is your moment. It’s the most picturesque spot of the season.
4. All of the Lights
The highlight of the evening remains the beloved Christmas tree lighting. At 6 p.m. sharp, the 30-foot tree will burst to life in a dazzling display visible from all corners of Town Square. Families gather early for the perfect vantage point, and the collective countdown never gets old.
5. A Festive Fireworks Finale
When the lights go up, so does the night sky. The event wraps with a spectacular fireworks show that paints the evening in brilliant shades of red, green and gold. It’s a tradition families return for year after year — the perfect grand finale to Southlake’s most magical night.
