North Texas showed up in a big way once again. Communities Foundation of Texas’ 18th annual North Texas Giving Day raised more than $76 million for more than 3,300 nonprofits across the region, surpassing the total recorded at midnight during last year’s event.
Nearly 94,700 donors contributed to organizations spanning 25 cause areas, including education, health, social services, the arts, environmental causes and animal welfare.
Since North Texas Giving Day launched in 2009, the annual campaign has now generated more than $788 million for local nonprofits.
“North Texans once again showed the extraordinary power of collective generosity,” says Wayne White, president and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas.
The giving does not stop with the one-day event. Donations can continue year-round through NorthTexasGivingDay.org, with 100% of tax-deductible contributions going directly to participating nonprofits.
Next year’s North Texas Giving Day is set for Sept. 16, 2027.
