Located on Nolen Drive just northeast of Dragon Stadium, The Southlake Arts Center is a nonprofit organization home to theatrical, artistic and performing arts organizations and individuals. The mission of the center is to cultivate the artistic talent in the area by providing opportunities for artists to learn, experience and demonstrate their talent. We are proud to provide learning and performance opportunities to all ages and all levels of experience.
The center has recurring opportunities to apply learned skills through performances such as full-length plays, monthly amateur comedy evenings led by The Last Laugh on the Left and quarterly SpotlightCabaret nights – all open to the public. In addition, we proudly promote visual art by displaying the creations of local artists on the lobby walls and most recently hosting a competition featuring Carroll ISD students.
Summer camps for youth include all aspects of production – performance and technical. Other learning opportunities include specific training for theater teachers, musical and dance instruction, corporate training and more. Opportunities are added throughout the year. This summer the center will welcome a resident youth theatre group, Wishing Star Stage Company, led by professional playwright and local legend Joe Sturgeon.
Visit Southlake Arts Center for more information on all our offerings. With an auditorium, Blackbox and classrooms, our venue serves the needs of any artist desiring to share their craft. If your organization could benefit from using our venue or for sponsorship, we’d love to speak with you. Contact us at info@southlakeartscenter.com or call 817.875.7490.
