Get ready for the ultimate cowboy experience in Cowtown—the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo will entertain crowds January 13 through February 4. Filled with Western tradition, this fun-filled event is packed with so many sights and activities that you should plan for several days to explore it all. Shimmy into those cowboy boots and head south to experience livestock and horse shows, great rodeo action, live music, hunger-busting food and much more. Bring the whole family—with an exciting carnival and plenty of interactive, kid-friendly activities, there's something for your entire brood to enjoy. Be sure you have a good view of the event kickoff: the “One-and-Only, Non-Motorized, All-Western” parade. More than 2,000 animals and 200 riding clubs, decorated floats, marching bands, equestrian troops and dignitaries travel from all over to entertain more than 100,000 spectators.
We also suggest moseying over to check out the “Prime Time” Cattle Call, Bulls' Night Out, Fort Worth Super Shootout & Rodeo, Mustang Magic and the MOO-Seum Experience. One of the biggest draws, though, is the World's Original Indoor Rodeo featuring 29 thrilling performances with a mix of riding, roping, dogging and barrel racing. And for your little ones, Kids Gone Wild, located at the Cattle Arena, is a chance to experience the fascinating world of wildlife. End the day dancing the night away at the Coors Light Roadhouse, where you'll hear boot-tappin' country, rock, R&B, funk and Latino artists perform on the Coors Light Stage. Put on your favorite hat and western wear, grab your friends and family, and head to downtown Fort Worth for some good ol' western fun. Yeehaw, y'all!
