University of Texas at Austin sophomore Gracie Anderson assumed the position of Miss Southlake starting January 1, 2021. This follows the announcement of Miss Southlake 2020 Bryton Bonacquisti’s resignation, which was effective December 9, 2020.
Gracie grew up in the Pflugerville area and previously competed in the Miss Texas Outstanding Teen program. After she aged out of the teen version, she started competing in Miss competitions throughout the state.
Gracie, who participated in the original Miss Southlake 2020 competition, is currently working toward her degree in neuroscience and will pursue a career in occupational therapy after graduating. She hopes to eventually work with children with disabilities.
With a platform focused on fostering youth leadership, Gracie aspires to connect to the Southlake community and influence the next generation of leaders.
“I am really excited to work with such a supportive and dynamic organization but also really engage with the community virtually,” Gracie says.
When she’s not representing Southlake, Gracie is a member of the Longhorn band and plays the flute.
