Me Squared Cancer Foundation recently held its 4th Annual gala at The Westin Southlake, raising a record breaking amount to benefit newly diagnosed cancer patients in DFW. This year's "Light Up The Night" themed Black and White gala featured dinner, dancing and an auction to bring in much-needed funds.
Board member and breast cancer survivor Kelly Rose says, "We put our heart and soul in to our biggest fundraiser of the year. As a board member and patient advocate lead, I am truly excited about all the cancer patients we will be able to help with the record money raised."
Since its founding five years ago, the organization has distributed over $1.6 million in grants to more than 600 patients battling cancer, easing their financial burdens and making a difference in their lives. Focused on providing assistance to patients living at or below 250% of the poverty level, Me Squared serves a diverse range of individuals regardless of whether they are insured or uninsured, helping those in need with up to $2,500 in grant funding to cover critical expenses like treatment, transportation and lodging.
