CARROLL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL | Anika Art Foundation Founder
When Anika Bajpai’s mother Vidisha donated one of her paintings to benefit Hurricane Harvey survivors in 2017, Anika realized her talents could be used to help others. So in 2018, she started the Anika Art Foundation to do just that.
As an illustrator, painter and artist, Anika has produced and sold multiple paintings that have helped raise around $10,000 for local organizations such as the Southlake Women’s Club, Kids Matter International, GRACE Grapevine, the Battered Women’s Foundation and the Carroll Education Foundation. She’s also traveled to India and the Bahamas to teach children and donate materials so they could create their own art, which Anika says is her favorite part of the foundation.
Along with her community service efforts, Anika excels in her art and animation classes at Carroll ISD. She hopes to enroll at the University of Texas at Austin or the University of Florida and become a visual effects designer after she graduates.
