After Run4Elise decided to postpone its original 2020 race, the organization still wanted to honor the Elise Cerami Memorial Scholarship winners. So on June 20, on the fourth angel anniversary for Elise, this year's recipients came out to the gazebo at Southlake Town Square to be recognized and celebrate their accomplishments.
"If you know our family, you have witnessed our efforts to pour our grief into positive things that honor Elise," Lori Cerami says. "It fills our hearts to celebrate these amazing swimmers, especially on Elise’s four year angel anniversary.”
The day's recipients included Isabella Miller, Lana Jeter, Christian Youssef, Ashley Zettle, Carolyn Kosek, Brett Belleville, Katelyn Brown, Rachel Boeck, Blake Doorman, Brendan Frizzell and Lilliam Duma.
After the day's guests cheered on the students, Swim4Elise partnered with the Southlake Fire Department to also host a blood drive. For more information about this year's accomplishments and upcoming events, visit Run4Elise.com.
