Six Southlake rowers qualified for nationals during the U.S. Rowing Central Youth Regionals in Oklahoma City this past weekend.
Representing the Founders Rowing Club, sophomore Olivia Knight earned second place in the U17 1X race and earned first place in the U17 2X event alongside sophomore Samantha Rietbroek, finishing 18 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher Hockaday.
Meanwhile, seniors Ashley Hall and Camille Egger and juniors Maile Nelson and Sophia Rhodes finished second in the Youth 4X event. Sophie and Maile also earned third place in the Youth 2X event.
These six Dragons will now head to Sarasota, Florida, to compete at the U.S. Youth Rowing National Championships on June 9-12.
