A Southlake mother is publishing her debut children’s book next month.
Before the pandemic, Anya Beltsina was a substitute teacher for a local elementary school who enjoyed writing and sharing stories with her kids. But when the pandemic moved lessons from the classroom to online, Anya found that it was the best time to start writing her first children’s book.
“One of my great passions is writing stories,” Anya says. “I think that life is full of inspirations. A simple walk through a park can turn into an amazing adventure.”
Anya’s debut children’s book “Smiley, Happy Planet Earth” will be released in book stores on Oct. 7. It tells the story of a schoolteacher who teaches his class about planet Earth and its seasons. Anya hopes that her book can become useful in educating children about their planet.
“It will make me smile and happy if children enjoy my book, learn some fundamental facts about our planet or simply like the fun illustrations,” Anya says. “I hope that educators and parents alike engage young readers and help them establish a solid understanding of popular concepts.”
You can preorder “Smiley, Happy Planet Earth” on Barnes & Noble and Google Books now.
