Two Southlake police officers received some high-touted honors last week.
On Monday, June 27, Brett Roberson was awarded the Officer of the Year by the Texas Association of School Resource Officers. As an SRO at Carroll Middle School for over 16 years, Brett has organized the Southlake DPS Youth Academy every year for students ages 13-17 and has also coordinated speakers and trips to the Medical Examiner’s Office, according to MySouthlakeNews.com.
But Brett wasn’t the only won to receive some hardware last week. Officer Brent Carlson also received the Enforcement Hero Award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
