In 2008, Reigan O’Quinn moved to Southlake to begin her education career at Carroll ISD. Starting as a second-grade teacher at Carroll Elementary, she rose through the ranks until she assumed her current role as Old Union Elementary’s assistant principal.
Old Union has thrived under her leadership, being named one of the best elementary schools in the state by “U.S. News & World Report.” Reigan herself was also previously recognized as the Region 11 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.
Whether she’s helping a student one-on-one or working on big-picture projects for the school, Reigan always has Old Union’s kids at the forefront of her mind.
“I love being in education,” Reigan says. “Every single day, educators make a difference in someone’s life, which goes far beyond knowledge.”
