At just 13 years old, Southlake student Saanvi Gullapalli is already carving out a remarkable path in the world of finance — and using her skills to give back to the community. What began as a childhood curiosity sparked by watching market news with her family has grown into a true passion. Saanvi has been investing since age 8, tracks market trends daily and even produces weekly video updates on economic news for her Instagram audience.
Her dedication has earned national recognition. In May 2024, Saanvi received an invitation from CNBC for a behind-the-scenes tour of the network’s headquarters and the New York Stock Exchange, where she met industry leaders impressed by her enthusiasm and insight.
This fall, she brought that same enthusiasm home by teaching a 10-week series of finance classes at The Marq for local students in grades 5–10. She spent her weekends creating lessons, breaking down real-world concepts and helping young learners build confidence around investing and financial responsibility.
Saanvi chose to donate all $3,000 she earned to The Salvation Army, an organization she first encountered at Carroll Middle School, where she helped create posters, letters and food boxes for local shelters. After learning more, she admired its broad support for families in need.
