The spotlight was on community, service and talent at the Coppell Arts Center on September 13, when four young women earned the titles of Miss Southlake 2026, Miss Southlake’s Teen 2026, Miss Westlake 2026, and Miss Westlake’s Teen 2026.
Sarah Swift, a Southern Methodist University student studying fashion media and advertising, was crowned Miss Southlake 2026. Swift captivated the judges with her lyrical dance to “Dear Dad,” tying for Overall Evening Gown and winning Overall Interview. She earned $1,200 in scholarships and will use her platform, Happy Hearts: Heart Health Advocacy & Awareness, to educate others about cardiovascular health.
The title of Miss Southlake’s Teen 2026 went to Madison Newton, who swept Overall Talent, Evening Gown, and Interview. Newton’s moving dance to “Hero” secured her $800 in scholarships. She will champion For the Love of Ryan: Educating Others about Organ Donation, promoting donor awareness and dispelling myths.
Representing Westlake, Gigi Kohl—a Texas State University musical theatre major—was named Miss Westlake 2026. Kohl received $1,200 in scholarships, along with the Overall Talent and Evening Gown awards for her performance of “Never Enough.” Her community initiative, Healing Beyond Loss: Postvention for Survivors of Suicide Loss, is focused on supporting those impacted by loss.
Rounding out the court, Mia Ferraro earned the title of Miss Westlake’s Teen 2026. Performing “The Wizard and I”from Wicked, Ferraro earned $500 in scholarships. Her initiative, Power in Your Hands: Turning Passion Into Purpose, encourages peers to transform service into meaningful community action.
All four titleholders will represent their communities on the state stage at the Miss Texas and Miss Texas’ Teen Competitions in June 2026 at the Eisemann Center in Richardson, according to a press release from the Miss Southlake Scholarship Organization.
