The Young Men’s Service League Lakes chapter worked overtime during the winter break, volunteering over 400 community service hours for two local nonprofits.
Every year, YMSL dedicates its time to benefit local charities as part of its annual Ultimate Gift project. This year, mothers and sons from the organization volunteered 400 hours toward Amy’s Wish With Wings in Southlake and the Stepping Stones Foundation in Keller.
At Amy’s Wish With Wings, members cleaned the sensory trail and added new sand, toys, trees and flowers alongside the path. Meanwhile, at Stepping Stones, they painted the resale shop and exterior parking, cleaned the gutters and planted new flowers.
“We’re thankful for a successful 2021 Ultimate Gift project where our members could really make an impact in our community,” assistant vice president of philanthropy Lara Crump says.
