The Dragon Core Value Awards is back for its fourth year, this time with a brand new honor paying tribute the late school resource officer John Stokes.
Every year, the Dragon Core Awards accepts nominations for its eight award categories — Community Service Award, Distinguished Service Award and its Core Value awards for Character & Integrity, Compassionate Service, Excellence, Innovation, Open & Honest Communication and Relationships. Each award requires a student, parent, staff or community member to nominate someone who will later be considered and potentially recognized at Carroll ISD’s end-of-year reception. But this year’s awards are adding another category with the Sgt. John Stokes SRO of the Year Award, which recognizes one of its 14 school resource officers.
Dragons who want their nominee to be considered should fill out the online form by Monday, April 5. For questions, contact the CISD awards committee chairman at 817.949.8212 or Lauren.Wurman@SouthlakeCarroll.edu.
