The Carroll Speech and Debate team will be heading to Corpus Christi this weekend for the Texas Forensics Association state tournament.
After competing in 15 DFW-area tournaments this season, 31 Dragons will head to the state tournament on March 9-12 to compete for the championship trophy. According to head coach Anthony Brown, Pranav Kaginele currently has the most tournament of champion bids in the nation and will be competing at the state tournament for the third time in a row. Katy Lin is currently the top-ranked Congressional debater in the nation and has accumulated 25 bids in her last four years in the program.
“All of these students have dedicated countless hours and worked tremendously hard to reach this point,” Anthony says. “We wish them luck as they get ready to make the school proud.”
