Although it had to cancel its 2020 culinary celebration earlier this year due to COVID-19, that didn't stop the Carroll Education Foundation from pushing toward its annual goal.
Despite the pandemic putting a halt to its in-person fundraising events, CEF has regardless raised $511,500, or 93% of its $550,000 fundraising goal. With about $38,500 left to go, CEF is making one final push towards funding 11 teachers on each campus for the 2020-2021 school year.
"After canceling our culinary celebration due to COVID-19, we are excited to be able to provide an online auction in its place," CEF Executive Director Kathy Lanier sys. "The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive from our Southlake community, and for that, we are extremely grateful."
Presented by Park Place Dealerships and Park Place Jaguar Land Rover DFW, the CEF online auction and raffle features 80 prizes that participants can place a bid on, including diamond necklaces, four-day luxury vacations, broadway musicals, shopping and restaurant gift cards. The online auction runs until 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.
