Carroll ISD has hired two new principals for its elementary and intermediate school campuses.
During the May 9 school board meeting, the Carroll ISD board of trustees unanimously voted to approve Patrick Holladay as the new principal for Jack D. Johnson Elementary. Patrick previously worked as an assistant principal for Donna Shepard Intermediate Leadership Academy and Tarver-Rendon Elementary School at Mansfield ISD, according to a media release.
With 26 years of experience under his belt, Patrick says he looks forward to bringing his administrative leadership to the district.
“I am honored by this opportunity to serve the students and staff of Johnson Elementary School and Carroll ISD,” Patrick says via media release. “JES and CISD have a rich tradition of excellence in everything they do, and I am excited to be joining this team and Dragon Nation.”
But Patrick wasn’t the only hire Carroll ISD approved. It also hired Whitney Wheeler as the new principal for Don T. Durham Intermediate School. Having previously served Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD as a principal, Wheeler also brings eight years of teaching experience from Keller ISD, where she was named Intermediate Teacher Of The Year in 2012.
“I am committed to fostering a culture of excellence and sincerely look forward to serving and developing relationships with the students, staff and families of Durham Intermediate,” Whitney says.
Additionally, the district has appointed assistant principal Christina Benhoff as head principal at Carroll High School.
