All 11 Carroll ISD campuses recently recognized their top educators of the year.
In a celebration fitting of Dragon pride, district leaders visited each campus to surprise and honor the 2026 Teachers of the Year with festive parades held in their honor.
This year’s award winners include Carroll Elementary kindergarten teacher Luann Moffett, Old Union Elementary first grade teacher Stephanie Burke, Rockenbaugh Elementary fourth grade teacher Stephanie Craddock, Walnut Grove Elementary second grade teacher Rachel Hinzman, Durham Intermediate sixth grade teacher Jennifer Lee, Eubanks Intermediate sixth grade ELA teacher Taylor Houtman, Carroll Middle School seventh grade GT teacher Becky Rosendahl, Dawson Middle School seventh grade math teacher Christin Kelber, Carroll High School special education teacher Lauren Hein and Carroll Senior High School AP Capstone teacher Erin Burkamp.
The district noted that the Johnson Elementary School Teacher of the Year will be announced at a later date, as that campus celebration has been postponed.
Congratulations to Carroll’s 2026 Teachers of the Year!
