Although Art in the Square was canceled in March, that doesn’t mean you can appreciate art from young and aspiring artists. You can check them out online now thanks to Carroll ISD.
Normally over 600 of Carroll's K-8 artists would be featured in Art in the Square's student art show in Southlake Town Square. But after Art in the Square moved its show online, the district followed suit and launched its own online gallery featuring student artwork from the 2019-2020 school year.
The digital gallery features paintings, drawings and sculptures from nine of its elementary, intermediate and middle school campuses, including Carroll, Johnson, Old Union, Rockenbaugh and Walnut Grove Elementary, Durham and Eubanks Intermediate and Carroll and Dawson Middle. Guests can scroll through all of the different campuses’ galleries and sign the digital guestbook showing their support for young Dragon artists.
The next Art in the Square event is currently scheduled for April 2021. To check out the Carroll ISD Digital Art Show, go online at SouthlakeCarroll.edu.
