The Carroll Robotics team won big at the Texas 6A State Championship last week.
Over spring break, the Carroll Robotics team traveled to Houston to compete against 38 other teams at the Texas 6A State Championship. They competed in 15 matches overall, winning 12 with a driver high score of 122 and a programming high score of 97, totaling to 219 points overall for the competition.
By the end of the championship, the Dragons not only won the Best Design Award but also they were named overall Tournament Champions. The only other schools to win two awards at the competition were tournament champions Carnegie Vanguard High School and Clear Brook High School, which won the Excellence Award and qualified for the VEX World Championship in May.
The Dragons were recognized with their honors in an awards ceremony after the competition.
