The Carroll Senior High Student Council is teaming up with the Wounded Warrior Project and Southlake first responders for the second annual Carry Forward, Feed It Forward 5K, set for Saturday, November 8, from 8–11 a.m. at Dragon Stadium. The event raises funds for the Wounded Warrior Project and local food banks, blending fitness, community and giving back.
Participants can enjoy food trucks, a best-dressed contest and more while supporting a meaningful cause. Students are encouraged to register online through the “Join Our Squad” button, which also counts toward five service hours. Those who assemble a completed Thanksgiving food basket can drop it off at Dragon Stadium on race day or in CSHS Room 115 for an additional five service hours. Non-perishable items are also welcome for donation.
Even if you can’t run, the event provides opportunities to donate online or contribute a food basket to help local families in need. Proceeds directly benefit veterans and those in the community facing food insecurity. For questions, contact Lindsey Jacobson at lindsey.jacobson@southlakecarroll.edu or Natalie Brown at natalie.brown@southlakecarroll.edu.
With a combination of community spirit, friendly competition and meaningful service, Carroll’s 5K promises to be a highlight of the fall — a chance to carry forward good deeds and feed it forward in Southlake.
