Two U.S. military troops from Southlake are receiving support from Dawson Middle School during the midst of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
Earlier this month, Dawson Middle collected food and letters from seventh-grade social studies students and compiled them into three boxes to be sent to brothers Zachary and Jake Cramer, who are both currently serving in the military. Their younger siblings, Macie and Jagger Cramer, helped collect the donations, and the care packages will be mailed to the twin brothers later this month.
“We always try to find someone we can donate to when we study World War I and II,” Texas history teacher Josh Ault says. “We are so grateful for everyone’s donations.”
