CISD families had to decide prior to the start of the fall semester (in August) whether their children would return to school in person or participate in Dragon Virtual Academy. Now, they have the opportunity to change their decision.
The deadline for parents who hope to transition their children to a new learning platform is October 5. Parents must notify their campus’ front office for further information on how to submit their request. This choice will lock students’ platforms in for the next grading period.
As of October 1, 3,861 students throughout the district are currently participating in DVA, and 4,437 students are participating in in-person instruction throughout the district’s 11 campuses. For more information about COVID-19 cases, safety precautions and family resources, visit CISD’s website.
