The Dragon Band left quite the impression at the Crowley ISD Stadium over the weekend.
On Saturday, Sept. 30, Southlake Carroll competed against 27 exceptional marching band programs from across the area at the U.S. Bands Dallas Regional Competition. Performing their show “La Vie est Belle,” the Dragon Band played pieces including “Aviary” by Camille Saint Saens, “La Mer” by Claude Debussy, “La Vie en Rose” by Edith Piaf and “Des Vu” by Nick McConnaughey.
By the end of the contest, not only did the Dragon Band place first in the preliminary round — they also finished first out of the Top 11 bands with a final score of 87.8.
