The Carroll Dragon BBQ Seasonings are making a summer comeback just in time for peak grilling season.
The State Champion Carroll Dragon BBQ Team will host a pop-up seasoning sale on Monday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Carroll ISD Administration Building. Fans, families, and backyard pitmasters can stock up on two signature blends: Dragon Breath Spicy Cajun and Dragon Dust All-Purpose Seasoning. Both will be available for $15 per bottle, while supplies last.
The seasonings are tied to the long-running success of the Carroll Dragons BBQ program, which has become something of a local legend in Southlake.
The squad recently captured statewide attention after the Carroll Dragons BBQ squad — known in competition as O.G. BBQ — officially secured the Texas High School BBQ State Championship on April 25. Led by coach Breece Higgins, the Dragons delivered a standout performance across categories including brisket, ribs, chicken, beans, and dessert, with top finishes from students like captain Preston Inouye and teammates Caden Roberson and Darien Kawai.
The program’s rise has extended beyond the competition circuit. Several team members were featured in the BBQ High on the Magnolia Network, which documented their journey and helped showcase the intensity and craftsmanship behind high school barbecue at the highest level.
Whether it’s for summer brisket, ribs, or weeknight grilling, the seasoning blends have developed a loyal following for their bold, balanced flavor profiles. Quantities are limited, and once they’re gone, they’re gone — making this a short window to grab a taste of one of Southlake’s most flavorful traditions.
