In 2017, Carroll ISD began awarding the Dragon Core Value Awards to the Dragons that exemplify its values most. Three years later, they’re hoping to continue that trend even with classes moving online.
The Dragon Core Value Awards will recognize CISD staff with eight awards for community service, distinguished service and the six core Dragon values for character and integrity, compassionate service, excellence, innovation, open and honest communication and relationships. While the CISD Awards Committee will not host an in-person award reception, they will still recognize winners at some capacity on May 20, according to MySouthlakeNews.com.
Dragons who wish to nominate someone for one of the Core Value Awards can fill out its respective form online, explain their reasoning on a supplemental blank sheet and include up to three letters of recommendation for the nomination. All nominations must be sent to Lauren.Wurman@SouthlakeCarroll.edu by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 13 to be considered.
