Eubanks Intermediate School recently collected hundreds of socks during a drive to support the Dallas ISD Student Homeless Program.
Student ambassadors, who are 5th and 6th-grade leaders who work to make a difference at the school, at Eubanks organized the drive which ran from Jan. 21 to Feb. 5.
“It feels great that we care for the community and we’ll do anything to help them out,” Emily Fielder, a 5th-grade student ambassador at Eubanks says.
Around 300 to 400 socks of different lengths, colors and sizes were collected from 5th and 6th-grade students and families at Eubanks Intermediate.
Eubanks has been collecting socks for the Dallas ISD program since 2011 and plans to continue hosting drives to support them.
