Jack D. Johnson Elementary collected over 350 pairs of shoes for its One Day Without Shoes Drive last week.
Organized by the fourth grade kindness ambassadors, One Day Without Shoes was a school-wide service project where the entire campus worked to collect shoes for the Buckner Foundation. Students were responsible for creating advertisements, speaking about the drive during morning announcements, counting and boxing the shoes and loading them onto the trucks for shipping.
By the end of the project, the campus donated 393 shoes total. Congratulations to these Dragons and all of their hard work!
