Carroll ISD honored a new group of college-bound athletes this week, celebrating Dragons who signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. From soccer pitches to volleyball courts to the pool and the cross-country course, Carroll’s latest signing class reflects the depth and balance of one of Texas’ premier athletic departments.
Soccer
Carroll boys soccer standout Tyson Lipp made his commitment official, signing with Xavier University. A dynamic playmaker with elite speed and vision, Lipp has been a cornerstone of the Dragons’ attack and will bring that same creativity to the Big East.
Two members of the powerhouse Carroll girls soccer program will sign on Dec. 3, extending the Dragons’ pipeline to major Division I programs.
Alexa Khan is headed to the University of Arizona, joining a Pac-12 (soon to be Big 12) program known for its high-tempo, possession-driven style.
Peyton Hayes signed with SMU, where she’ll join one of the nation’s most consistently strong women’s soccer programs.
Volleyball
On the heels of its first state tournament appearance in 12 years, Carroll’s volleyball program will send an exceptional eight-player class to the college ranks

Swimming
A pair of longtime teammates and senior captains will take their talents to two of the premier swim programs in the country.
Olivia Colombo (Arizona State) and Emma Bibza (SMU) have been training and competing together since elementary school, anchoring Carroll’s relay units and helping lead the Lady Dragons to multiple district and regional titles. Their dual signings were among the most emotional moments of the day — symbolic of a decade-long friendship built in and out of the pool.
Cross Country
Carroll’s distance tradition continues, as senior standout Caden Leonard signed with the University of North Carolina. Leonard's accomplishments have been well-documented, and he will add his range and consistency to a Tar Heel squad with a strong history in the ACC.
