Walnut Grove Elementary is hosting a parade on Wednesday in honor of principal Mike Landers, who is retiring from the district after 16 years of service.
An educator with over 25 years of experience, Mike Landers has served as Walnut Grove’s principal for five years. In honor of principal Landers and all of his contributions to the district, Walnut Grove is hosting a retirement parade for him on Wednesday, May 26. Parents are welcomed to drive through the Walnut Grove car loop and wish Mike well before he retires.
“I think the hardest thing for me will be getting up in the morning and not seeing the people I used to spend most of my day with — the people you laugh and play with,” Mike says in a previous story. "I’m going to miss them the most.”
The parade will start at 4 p.m. and run until 5 p.m. at 2520 N. White Chapel Blvd.
