Details for the APEX Arts League's 16th Annual Jazz Festival in Southlake have officially been released. The Festival has been scheduled for March 1 at the Performing Arts Center at the Carroll High School Auditorium, and features a bevy of artists. Doors open at 4 p.m.
The world-famous University of the North Texas One O'Clock Jazz Ensemble, directed by Alan Baylock, is set to play. The One O'Clock has been nominated for seven Grammy awards.
Before The One O'Clock, the Carroll Jazz Band will perform, as will the Denton High School and McKinney North High School jazz bands. The Carroll Jazz Band was recently invited to play at the Essentially Ellington, a prestigious jazz concert in New York.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Apexartsleague.com. Student tickets are $5, adults are $15 and senior citizens and Apex members are $10.
