Southlake continues to rank among the nation's most affluent communities.
A new study from personal finance company MoneyLion ranked Southlake as the No. 8 wealthiest suburb in America, placing it among just three Texas cities and two Dallas-Fort Worth communities to crack the national top 10. The city's average household income reached $384,530 in 2024.
The annual report analyzed suburbs with at least 5,000 households located within a metropolitan statistical area but outside a principal city. Researchers ranked the nation's 50 wealthiest suburbs by average household income while also considering home values for additional context.
Southlake was one of only two Dallas-Fort Worth suburbs to earn a top-10 ranking, joining University Park at No. 6. Overall, five Texas suburbs made the list, with West University Place (No. 2), University Park (No. 6), Southlake (No. 8), Bellaire (No. 18), and Colleyville (No. 46) all earning recognition.
The latest ranking adds to Southlake's growing list of national accolades. In recent years, the city has been recognized among America's best small cities, received high marks for safety and homeownership, and has repeatedly appeared on lists highlighting the nation's fastest-growing affluent communities.
While each ranking measures different criteria, Southlake consistently earns national recognition for its strong local economy, nationally acclaimed schools, high property values, low crime rates and overall quality of life.
