Karen Malone, center, was named Southlake Women's Club Member of the Year.
The Southlake Women’s Club marked the conclusion of its 40th anniversary year May 8 with its final monthly luncheon, gathering members and community partners at The Westin Dallas Southlake for an afternoon that blended celebration with a look back at a milestone year of service.
What began in 1985 with a small group of women meeting to build community and support local needs has grown into one of Southlake’s most established volunteer organizations. Over four decades, the club has helped fund millions in local giving, supported Carroll Independent School District campuses, and helped elevate signature initiatives like Art in the Square into regionally recognized events.
Club leaders used the gathering to highlight recent impact, including this year’s School Supply Sale, which provided $49,000 in grants to CISD campuses. The event also introduced the incoming 2026–2027 board, led by Minta Kulas.
The afternoon’s top recognition went to Karen Malone, named Member of the Year for her extensive leadership roles and long-standing service to both the club and its foundation, underscoring the volunteer-driven spirit that has defined SWC since its earliest days.
