For many Southlake families, the start of Fourth of July weekend means lawn chairs in the trunk, kids waving glow sticks through Town Square and neighbors gathering beneath a sky filled with fireworks. This summer, that tradition returns once again as Stars and Stripes takes over Southlake Town Square on Friday, July 3.
The annual celebration has become one of Southlake’s favorite hometown traditions — a place where patriotism, community and summer nostalgia all meet in one warm Texas evening. Families will fill the square for live music, food trucks, sweet treats, and plenty of red, white, and blue fun leading up to the night’s grand finale fireworks and drone show.
This year’s entertainment lineup includes performances by The Inspiration Band and “Fire and Heart,” a tribute show honoring iconic women of rock. Kids can enjoy games, activities, and strolling entertainers while parents catch up with friends and neighbors under the lights of Town Square.
As the sun sets and patriotic music drifts through the air, the celebration shifts into the kind of moment many Southlake residents look forward to every year — blankets spread across the lawn, little ones covering their ears before the first boom and families pausing together to watch the sky light up in red, white, and blue.
