UDPP Accolades Gained In The Offseason main
During football season, Dragons dominate — collecting wins, scoring touchdowns and showing off their talent. For most teams, the offseason is a chance to reflect and train for the upcoming season. While the Dragons were prepping, they were also racking up various accolades.
Let’s Go Bowling
This year, three Southlake Carroll players are set to appear in bowl games. Mason Grawe and Jack Abram both got invited to the 2021 Hawaii Tiki Bowl, and Joe McFadden is one of only 100 athletes invited to play in the 2021 All-American Bowl. The Hawaii Tiki Bowl is set to take place on January 3, and the All-American Bowl will air on January 9. Make sure to set your DVRs, so you don’t miss out on watching these Dragon athletes play.
Southlake Standouts
From being named to preseason football teams to committing to college to achieving multiple star status, Southlake superstars were constantly in the news. Quarterback Quinn Ewers had a fantastic offseason — he committed to the University of Texas and was named a five-star quarterback. And Quinn, Cinque Williams and Joe McFadden were all named to the MaxPreps Preseason Texas All-State high school football team.
Team Talent
As a team, Southlake Carroll also collected numerous accolades during the offseason. Currently, the Dragons are the most dominant high school football team in Texas, according to MaxPreps. And as the season gets closer, the Dragons are staying on top. In the “USA Today” preseason rankings and the MaxPreps.com Top 25 Preseason High School rankings, Southlake Carroll came in at No. 8 and came in at No. 16, respectively.
With their first game just a few weeks away, their successful offseason is just another reason why the Dragons will dominate this season.
