Carroll Independent School District has named Aaron Ford as the next head coach of Dragon Golf, bringing a decorated résumé that spans state championships and collegiate success.
Ford joins Carroll after leading the golf program at Austin's Vandegrift High School since 2022, where his girls program captured back-to-back UIL Class 6A state titles in 2023 and 2024, followed by a runner-up finish in 2025 and a third-place finish in 2026. Previously, he led programs at Georgetown High School and spent three years at Concordia University Texas, as well as serving as director of golf and women’s head coach at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Ford has been recognized nationally, earning 2024 Texas High School Coaches Association Girls Golf Coach of the Year and 2023–24 NFHS Girls Golf Coach of the Year honors. He will officially take over the program ahead of the 2026–27 school year as Carroll continues its tradition of state-level success on the links.
