Brady Boyd, a wide receiver for Southlake Carroll and a returning stat leader, is one of 130 Texas high school football players named to "Sports Illustrated’s" All-American Watch List.
In naming him to this list, "Sports Illustrated" highlights Boyd’s polish, instincts and his athleticism.
“Outstanding hand-eye coordination. Quick feet...very good overall body control, especially in the air...capable of making difficult catches outside [the] body, including spectacular one-handed grabs.” "Sports Illustrated" says about Boyd. “Regularly wins jump-ball scenarios. Dangerous after catch due to speed and balance…advanced route-runner...Willing, effective blocker.”
The process of evaluating the players on the All-American watch list will continue as the field narrows from 250 players to 99 in November. The 25 first-team "Sports Illustrated" All-Americans will be honored at its annual Sportsperson of the Year banquet in New York in December.
Along with being named to the All-American Watch List, Boyd is the No. 38 overall prospect and the No. 8 wide receiver on "The Dallas Morning News’" list of Top Recruits for 2021.
