Brody Knowles checks in at No. 35 on DMN's Top 100 football players rankings for the 2026 season.
As a new era of Dragon football begins under head coach Lee Munn, the talent cupboard at Carroll is anything but bare.
The Dallas Morning News recently unveiled its preseason Top 100 high school football players heading into the 2026 season. Carroll landed five standouts in the rankings, tied with North Crowley for the most of any school featured.
Leading the way is offensive lineman Luke Wilson, who checked in at No. 29. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound blocker and University of Oklahoma commit is joined by fellow offensive lineman Tristan Dare at No. 31. Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 285 pounds, Dare, a Missouri commit, gives Carroll another imposing presence in the trenches.
Carroll's passing attack is equally well represented. Illinois-commit Brody Knowles earned the No. 35 ranking after emerging as one of North Texas' top wide receivers last year. The 6-foot-6, 195-pound target is joined by fellow receiver Blake Gunter, who comes in at No. 46. Gunter, a University of California commit, provides another dangerous weapon on the perimeter.
Rounding out the Dragons' selections is running back Brooks Biggers, ranked No. 84. Biggers, who currently holds offers from Texas State and Colorado, stepped in for an injured Davis Penn last year and was outstanding in a reserve role.
