Carroll senior Dylan Ota was named the UIL State Outstanding Wrestler and also took home Texas High School Wrestling Coaches Association (THSWCA) Wrestler of the Year honors.
Carroll’s wrestling program closed out a dominant season with some of the highest honors in Texas going to both its athletes and coaches.
Senior Keegan Sieracki was named Sports Illustrated’s Texas State Wrestler of the Year after an outstanding 41-3 campaign. The George Mason University-signee captured his second state title in three attempts, including a statement semifinal victory over an undefeated opponent, solidifying his place among the state’s elite.
Sieracki wasn’t the only Dragon to earn major recognition. Fellow senior Dylan Ota was named the UIL State Outstanding Wrestler and also took home Texas High School Wrestling Coaches Association (THSWCA) Wrestler of the Year honors. Ota’s consistent excellence and high-level performances made him one of the most decorated wrestlers in Texas this season.
Carroll’s success extended to the sidelines as well. Coaches Cameron Haddock and Joseph Hathaway were named THSWCA State Coaches of the Year, a reflection of their leadership and the program’s continued dominance.
With multiple individual awards, a state title, and top coaching honors, the Dragons once again proved themselves as one of Texas’ premier wrestling programs.
