The Emerald Belles continued to represent Southlake by performing during halftime at Friday's Dallas Mavericks game. The Belles performed for about four minutes, dancing to songs like "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, "Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns N' Roses and "Any Way You Want It" by Journey.
"It was so fun," Emerald Belles director Melissa Page says. "It was just so fun for the girls because it was a sold-out game too."
The Belles have previously performed on "America's Got Talent" and "The Kelly Clarkson Show." Melissa got into contact with the Mavericks after the Belles' "AGT" audition and was told that the Mavericks don't allow high school halftime performances. But after the Belles made it to the "AGT" finals, Melissa says the Mavericks were happy to have them perform.
"I felt the crowd would really like it," Melissa says of the music selection, which included a variety of 80s rock tunes. "[And] the crowd seemed to love it. They just cheered."
The performance featured lots of high kicks, synchronization and ended in a jump split.
"I just keep reminding them to take this all in, because it doesn't happen to high school teams," Melissa says.
The Belles are set to perform next during the San Antonio Spurs' halftime show on March 20.
