After dominating last weekend’s meet, the Southlake Carroll boys cross-country team did it again.
The boys team won first place at the Marcus Coach T Invitational while the girls team claimed second place, coming behind the defending state champion Flower Mound.
“This meet is always one of the most competitive of the season, and I’m proud of how our runners responded,” Southlake Carroll Head Coach Justin Leonard says via press release. “The heat definitely had an impact on the times, but our young men and women fought through it and raced well.”
Junior Robert Freeman led the boys with a fourth-place finishing time of 16:09, while senior Kaylie Cox placed fourth and led the girls with a time of 18:16.
The next meet for the Southlake Carroll cross-country varsity team is the Woodbridge XC Classic in Norco, California on Saturday, Sept. 18.
