Though it’s been less than three months since last season ended, Carroll Football is already gearing up for 2022. The team recently released its upcoming football schedule via Twitter.
The 2022 season will unofficially begin on Aug. 18 with a scrimmage against Arlington before the regular season kicks off in a home game against El Paso Eastwood on Aug. 26.
Two more non-district games will follow on Sept. 2 and 9 against Flower Mound Marcus and Cedar Hill, respectively. District play is set to begin on Sept. 16 in a game against Keller Timber Creek followed by games against Haltom, Keller and Keller Central on Sept. 22, Oct. 7 and Oct. 13.
The end of the regular season will see the Dragons take on Eaton on Oct. 21, Byron Nelson on Oct. 28 and Fossil Ridge on Nov. 3, after which postseason play will begin.
Last season, the Dragons went 14-1 after losing to Duncanville 35-9 in the postseason. Following the end of the season, 21 Dragons were named to the 4-6A First Team All-District.
