Texas A&M QB andbrformer Southlake Carroll Dragon Kenny Hill has been cleared to transfer. Many including 247Sports believe he has his eye on TCU.
However, his father, Kenbrtold FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman on Friday that a final decision on exactlybrwhere he will play next has yet to be determined.
"While Kenny is indeed planning on transferring, we havebrnot committed to any school at this time," the elder Hill told Feldman via text.br"We will begin meeting with schools on the 15th of January when the deadbrperiod is over. Any previous reports suggesting we are committed to any schoolbris simply inaccurate."
Those with Dragon Pride are well aware of the special skills, which Hill called on to lead the Dragonsbrto the 2011 State Championship as a Junior.
A lot has happened sincebrthis summer when Texas A&M Head Coach KevinbrSumlin announced Hill, the 2012-2013 Gatorade Player of the Year, won thestarting role over the highly touted Freshman Kyle Allen.
After securing thebrstarting job Hill wowed Aggie faithful and the nation throwing for a schoolbrrecord 554 yards as Texas A&M upset top ten South Carolina on the road. Garneringbrthe nickname “Kenny Trill”, Hill immediately joined the Heisman conversation asbrthe Aggies began the season 5-0. However, the Aggies lost three straight gamesbrin the middle of the season and Hill had seven turnovers in the losses, whichbrculminated in a 59-0 defeat to Alabama.
To make matters worse, Hillbrwas suspended for two games mid-season for violations of team rules. Thebrsuspension allowed Allen to take the reins as quarterback. Allen and Sumlin never looked back while Hillbrfailed to take another snap during remainder of the season.
Even in the shortenedbrseason Hill compiled an impressive 2,649 yards and 23 TDs and a 154.6 passerbrrating. The later ranking him 3rd amongst all SEC quarterbacks.
According to NCAA rules, no matter where Hill eventually lands, he will have to sit for a year on the bench for any FBS school.brOn the positive side, he has yet to use his redshirt season and thus has twobryears of eligibility remaining.
