During the Dodge Bowl state championship game, Austin Westlake defeated Southlake Carroll 52-34 to become the 6A Division 1 state champions. Though the Dragon offense shined during the first half, Austin Westlake brought the heat during the second half with great showings by both their defense and offense.
With this final game, the Southlake Carroll Dragons ended their season with a 12-2 overall record and a 6-0 district record. This season also marks the third consecutive year the Dragons have made it to the playoffs.
